Glasgow Branch – November Workshop

Tutor, Ailie Robertson plans to spend some time working on technique with us and how we can develop a practise regime for working on these aspects. She will also teach us a tune. Remember to let us know if you wish to attend to help us estimate our half time refreshments or require a zoom code. We’d also appreciate you paying in advance via BACS (details will be emailed).

Ailie Robertson is one of Scotland’s leading harpists. Awarded LiveIreland’s ‘Female Musician of the Year’, and the prize for ‘Innovation in Traditional Music’ in the Scottish Awards for New Music, her synthesis of Scottish, Irish and contemporary harping technique into an individual style represents the realisation of “otherwise unimagined possibilities for the Celtic harp”.

She has performed all around the globe, has published 8 volumes of harp music which are used by students around the world, and has taught at harp festivals in Europe, Canada, the USA, Asia and Australia.
