Saltaire Harp Weekend
Friday 19 – Sunday 21 September 2014

Set in the beautiful World Heritage Site of Saltaire Village, a weekend of harp events will take place alongside the annual Saltaire Festival. Technicians from Camac Harps France will be at the Early Music Shop, based at Salts Mill from Friday – Sunday, showing a selection of lever and pedal harps, offering advice and FREE service on Camac harps (please book in advance for harp service).
Saturday 20 September
A full day ‘Harp Ensemble Workshop’. Registration begins at 9.15am. Participants will work on a variety of fun and easy ensemble pieces with the aim of performing them in the evening concert. While you are here have a look at europe casino if you want to play casino games for free or or party bingo if you are looking to play bingo games online for free through party bingo and europa casino websites. Players of all standards are welcome but not suitable for total beginners. The workshop will be followed by a Harp Extravaganza concert in the Salts Mill, 1853 Gallery, providing an opportunity for pupils to perform alongside their tutors Eira Lynn Jones,Rhian Evans and Louise Thomson.
Sunday 21 September
11.00 – 1.00pm – Come and Try! ‘An open workshop’ with Eira Lynn Jones. Suitable for complete beginners of all ages – even those who have never touched a harp before but have always wanted to!
2.00 – 4.00 – An Open Class, providing a chance for harpists to work with Eira Lynn Jones on their solo pieces and gain expert tuition on technique and how to practise. Suitable for all ages and standards.
4.00 – An informal opportunity for a selected number of pupils from the day to play and for everyone to celebrate the end of an exciting weekend of all things harp!
